They have concealed mortal sinsfor ten or twenty years. They are continually tormented ;<strong>the</strong>ir sin isalways present to <strong>the</strong>ir mind; <strong>the</strong>y alwaysintend to confess it,and always defer <strong>the</strong> confession. Thisis a very hell on earth. Then perhaps <strong>the</strong>y ask to makea general confession, and tell <strong>the</strong>ir sins as if <strong>the</strong>y had onlyjust committed <strong>the</strong>m; <strong>the</strong>y will not confess that <strong>the</strong>y haveconcealed <strong>the</strong>m for ten or twenty years.
