Energy saving ideas by Theben.
This is how it works.

It is basically very straightforward : Using Theben products
enables energy to be supplied in a targeted manner and
without wastage: Where it is needed – and only when it is
needed. In other words: Energy in the right place at the
right time. This saves money and the intelligent control of
energy consumption quickly pays for itself.
With time, light, and climate systems
Time control, e. g.:
• Limit stair lighting to a few minutes.
• Activation of service water circulation pumps morning,
noon and night.
• Alternatively: Operation of service water heating pumps
only during off-peak periods.
Light control, e. g.:
• Street, shop window and path lighting only come on when
it's dark. And cheaper off-peak electricity is used at the
same time.
• Office, corridor, washroom and toilet lighting operate
automatically in event of presence and darkness.
Climate control, e. g.:
• Comfort temperature only during the day; the temperature
is reduced at night and energy saved.
• Ventilation and air-conditioning in classrooms and offices
are only activated when the room is occupied.
• CO 2-dependent ventilation control is ideal.

controlled. It stands to reason: Lights don't have to be on all

permanently switched on, Theben motion detectors ensure that lighting

Whether in airports or foyers, classrooms or corridors: Wherever it's
busy , it is good to know that lighting and room temperature are
reliably controlled. Discretely installed and optionally connected to a
EIB/KNX BUS system, thebenHTS presence detectors record presence
and movement of people in the room and use this data to control lighting, heating
and air conditioning systems – and it is also good to know that the set-up is
really easy thanks to factory presets and remote control.
