Such resupply will be conf<strong>in</strong>ed toitems of a non-lethal nature such as food, water, cloth<strong>in</strong>g andmedical supplies as well as provision of medical care.Article VUltimate disposition of the forces of the Partiesand of their anus, """"unitiop and equipment1. In order to re<strong>in</strong>force the objectives of a comprehensivepolitical settlement, m<strong>in</strong>imize the risks of a return towarfare, stabilize the security situation and build confidenceamong the Parties to the conflict, all Parties agree toundertake a phased and balanced process of demobilization of atleast 70 per cent of their military forces. This process shallbe undertaken <strong>in</strong> accordance with a detailed plan to be drawnup by UHTAC on the basis of the <strong>in</strong>formation provided underArticle I of this annex and <strong>in</strong> consultation with the Parties.It should be completed prior to the end of the process ofregistration for the elections and on a date to be determ<strong>in</strong>edby the Special Representative of the Secretary-General.2. The Cambodian Parties hereby commit themselves to demobilizeall their rema<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g forces before or shortly after theelections and, to the extent that full demobilization isunatta<strong>in</strong>able, to respect and abide by whatever decision thenewly elected government that emerges <strong>in</strong> accordance withArticle 12 of this Agreement takes with regard to the<strong>in</strong>corporation of parts or all of those forces <strong>in</strong>to a newnational army. Upon completion of the demobilization referredto <strong>in</strong> paragraph 1, the Cambodian Parties and the SpecialRepresentative of the Secretary-General shall undertake areview regard<strong>in</strong>g the f<strong>in</strong>al disposition of the forces rema<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>gVol. 1663, 1-28613
