ZYP BORON NITRIDEAEROSOL LUBRICOATANTI-STICK, HIGH-TEMPERATURE LUBRICATION IN AEROSOL FORMZYP Boron Nitride Aerosol Lubricoat ® is anaerosol version for small applications. Boronnitride is recommended as a high-temperature,anti-stick release agent / lubricant for hotpressing, glass forming and superplastic forming,as well as melting and casting of nonferrousmetals and alloys. Forming a non-wetting,non-reacting layer with molten aluminium, magnesium and their drosses, boron nitride isideal as a barrier layer to protect metal, ceramicor graphite substrates used for metal transport orcasting operations. Boron nitride is also usefulfor high electrical resistance, along with goodthermal conductivity as a coating on electricalheating elements. Additionally, as a weld-spatterrelease agent, boron nitride is excellent. Thus, with the aerosol version, easy application of thin, uniform layers is possible. Acetone / alcohol-basedcarrier assures fast drying.USE INSTRUCTIONSUse in a well-ventilated area away from open flame or molten metal. Sprayingcan be used to obtain an optimal thickness of 50–100 microns (2–4 mil).1. Clean surfaces to be coated of oils, dirt, scale, etc.2. Mix thoroughly by shaking can vigorously for 2–3 minutes before use.3. Hold can approximately 150–300 mm from surface.4. For best performance, apply multiple thin coats using even movements.5. Reapply as needed.6. Dry thoroughly before placing into service.7. Lightly polishing or buffing of the dry coating with a clean cloth willaid in filling and smoothing the refractory pores and removal of excesscoating.WARNING: Never contact wet coating withmolten metal.BENEFITS• Fast drying• Easy-to-use aerosol cans• Non-corrosivePACKAGING• 0.12 L can• 0.38 L canSTORAGE• Store in a cool dry place at 7.2–18°C• Keep from freezing• Keep container cap in place when not inuse to avoid accidental dischargeHEALTH AND SAFETYPrior to use, refer to the product safety datasheet (SDS) for proper handling and requiredpersonal protective equipment (PPE).
