With 40 km/h on the road!The Krone Big X is the only forage harvester worldwide (due to theoptimised weight distribution) certified to drive at 40 km/h (at 1600engine RPM) on the road. This is a further example of Krone’s innovativeabilities. The 40 km/h certification integrates the harvesterfully into the entire harvesting group and hence, significantly reducesrelocation times.When driving on the road, in the second drive range the self-propelledforager maximises the engine power due to its new automotivedriving mode concept. The engine revs are automatically adjusted tothe pre-selected driving speed and the corresponding drive load. Thismeans that the engine does not run at full speed—as is otherwisethe case with hydrostatic drives—but is electronically throttled back,for example at traffic lights, road intersections etc. This significantlyreduces fuel consumption and is gentle on the engine and drive.A further advantage: The noise level while driving on the road issignificantly lower than with conventional hydrostatically drivenself-propelled vehicles and so decisively improves overall drivingcomfort.Intelligent automotive drive: After selecting the driving level desired, the drivingspeed is controlled using the joystick. In driving level I you can drive at 0-17 km/h,in level II at 0-40 km/h.Plenty of traction! The all-wheel drive and special large 42” wheels provide formaximum ground protection and optimum traction, even under the most difficultharvesting conditions. Of course, the Big X also features an automaticknife sharpening system and shear bar adjustment. The drivercontrols both functions simply and comfortably by the push of abutton.Exciting unique technology: The 800 mm wide chopping cylinder with two banksof 14 knives is the largest drum currently used in a forage harvester. For preciseand power-saving chopping, the knives are arranged in such a way that one knifeis always engaged against the shear bar.Always sharp! EasyCollect from Krone: There is no simplerCompletely innovative! With the new, row-independent EasyCollectmaize header for 8, 10 or 12 rows, Krone introduces a completelynew concept for a chopping and feeding system. With the newrotating collector principle, the number of different componentsand drives has been significantly reduced. This results, not only inlower maintenance requirements but also reduced weight, offeringclear advantages during daily use. The 10-row Krone EasyCollect,for example, weighs significantly less than 3 tonnes and thereforeis much lighter than other manufacturer’s 8-row maize row independentheaders.And that’s the way EasyCollect works: The maize stems are movedalong the knives, cut and then fed to the chopping unit. With itsinnovative design, even residual rows can be taken in from theoutside without problems. Further advantage: The EasyCollectmaize header with its two folding wings is mounted extremelyclose to the Forager.High work rate! As an option, the EasyCollect is equipped with two longitudinalmaize augers to give an additional advantage: the chopping unit is wider at thefront than at the back; resulting in more space, and consequently the plants are notpushed down so easily, for example when turning.Fully legalon the road!Fold up and drive: With the push of a button, the 8 and 10–row EasyCollect headerscan be folded up for transport. Here also the lower weight plays a decisiverole, because it allows the harvester to travel fully legally on the road in safety.Safe transport: For driving on the road, a trailer is required for the 12-row EasyCollectmaize header, because it exceeds the maximum transport height of 4 m.However, when directly changing from field to field, the header can still of course,be folded up quickly and easily.

Steady crop flow: As standard, the pick-up is equipped with a roller crop guide.This ensures continuous crop flow without blockage, even when at high forwardspeeds. To reverse the cross-conveyor auger, the roller crop guide can be liftedhydraulically to provide more space.Gentle on the sward! As standard, the trailing guide wheels are equipped withlarge size tyres (18 x 8.50). This guarantees optimum contour adaptation evenduring turns and avoids scuffing. Because the guide wheels can swivel by 360°,there is no scuffing even when reversing!Perfect forevery situation!Ideal adaptation!
