This course is acontinuation of BIO 370. Students taking this course willbe actively involved in research under their chosen advisor.This course is to be taken after BIO 370 but prior to BIO470.BIO 469 Senior Seminar in Biology (1) Prerequisite: Agrade of C- or better in BIO 110, 370, and 394. Studentswill develop an oral and written presentation of theirBiology Cooperative Education experience. Studentswill incorporate current research literature into theirpresentations.BIO 470 Research Project (1) Prerequisites: A grade ofC- or better in BIO 110, 370 and 465. This course is acontinuation of BIO 370 and 465. Students will take thiscourse as a means of completing their individual researchproject under the direction of a chosen instructor. Apresentation of this research in both oral and written form isrequired at the conclusion of the course.BIO 486/586 Immunology (2) The topics for this course willinclude the biological, physical and chemical properties ofantigens and antibodies, host-antigen interaction, humoraland cellular response mechanisms, serologic reactions,mechanisms of antibody formation, hypersensitivity.(2 hours lecture-lab combined) Graduate students will berequired to do an additional project and write a paper.Eligible seniors may enroll in 500 level graduate courses.Graduate CoursesBIO 500 Advanced Zoology (3) See BIO 400. Students may concentrate in oneof the following: Accounting, Public Accounting, Advertising,Agri-Business, Economics, Finance, Human ResourceManagement, Management, Marketing, Office Administration,International Business, or Advisor Approved. The objective ofthe degree program is to provide a solid foundation in businesspractices and policies.
