20 <strong>Wayne</strong> <strong>State</strong> <strong>College</strong>UNDERGRADUATE STUDIESWSC offers programs of study which lead to a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree. With the assistance of anadvisor, students select a program of study and complete General Education requirements. Students who wish to teach work withan advisor to select either one field endorsement or two subject endorsements (only one subject endorsement, English, standsalone) and complete General Education requirements.Students who are unsure of which program of study they are interested in should seek the assistance of advisors in theAdvising Center.On the following pages students will find information on graduation requirements, programs of study, definitions, and rulesregarding academic programs of study.General Education RequirementsPhilosophyGeneral Education forms the foundation of learning at <strong>Wayne</strong> <strong>State</strong> <strong>College</strong>. The gradeearned in repetition will stand.Students can apply no more than two General Education courses toward a non-teaching major.Several majors and/or endorsements require course work of higher level or designated course number to meet specificGeneral Education requirements. Refer to specific program descriptions in this catalog for identification of these courses.
