Admissions to other Year GroupsApplications ong>forong> entry to Year 7 after theend of the routine admissions round ong>andong>applications ong>forong> entry Year 8 to Year 11 at anytime are treated as in-year admissions ong>andong>applications must be submitted to the homeLocal Authority. If there are more applicantsthan places available in the appropriate yeargroup places will be offered according theover-subscription criteria above.Fair Access ProtocolThe Governing Body will agree a Fair AccessProtocol ong>forong> admissions from ong>andong> agree toparticipate in the In-Year Fair AccessProtocol of Reading Borough Council.Post 16 AdmissionsApplications ong>forong> Post 16 education are madeto Reading College. There will be a totalcapacity of 180 in the Post 16 Centre.The minimum entrance requirements ong>forong> thewide range of courses available will be basedupon GCSE grades or other measures ofprior attainment. These criteria apply equallyto external ong>andong> internal applicants. Thedetailed inong>forong>mation will be contained in thePost 16 Centre prospectus published on anannual basis.An Admissions Committee will considerapplications ong>forong> admission including thosealready attending Reading Girls’ School ong>andong>the decision will be made in the light of allthe inong>forong>mation available including previousschool records.If there are more applicants than placesavailable in a particular course of studypriority ong>forong> places will be given as follows:a) Girls in Public Care (looked afterchildren) ong>andong> children who were lookedafter but ceased to be so because theywere adopted (or became subject to aresidency order) immediately after theyhad been looked after. Providedappropriate evidence is submitted.b) Students already at Reading Girls' School.c) If the school does not have enough placesong>forong> all applicants, places will be allocatedto those living nearest the school.
