Thatis taken <strong>to</strong> be the address of theparent/carer who receives child benefit <str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g>the child <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> is assumed <strong>to</strong> be the addresswhere the child spends the majority of itstime, even if she lives at a different address<str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g> some days of the week.Late Applicati<strong>on</strong>sApplicati<strong>on</strong>s are submitted <strong>to</strong> the homeLocal Authority <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> must be submitted bythe date published by them. Applicati<strong>on</strong>ssubmitted after that date will <strong>on</strong>ly beaccepted <str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g> good reas<strong>on</strong>s, ie. the familymoved in<strong>to</strong> the area or illness prevented asingle parent from completing the <str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g>m. Ifthe applicati<strong>on</strong> is accepted as a lateapplicati<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g> good reas<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> the<str<strong>on</strong>g>parents</str<strong>on</strong>g>/<str<strong>on</strong>g>carers</str<strong>on</strong>g> wish <strong>to</strong> apply <str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g> a place aspart of the selecti<strong>on</strong> <strong>on</strong> ability then a latetest date will be set in early February.Change of PreferenceThe school will not accept change ofpreference unless it is <str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g> good reas<strong>on</strong> as se<strong>to</strong>ut in the above paragraph.Waiting ListAfter the 1 March 2013 a ‘waiting list’ will beadministered if the school has moreapplicants than places available. A girl’spositi<strong>on</strong> <strong>on</strong> the waiting list is determinedaccording <strong>to</strong> the admissi<strong>on</strong> criteria. If a placebecomes available then it will be offered byReading Borough Council <strong>on</strong> behalf of theGoverning Body <strong>to</strong> the next girl <strong>on</strong> thewaiting list. Positi<strong>on</strong>s <strong>on</strong> the waiting list maygo up <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> down as late applicati<strong>on</strong>s accepted<str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g> good reas<strong>on</strong>s would be added according<strong>to</strong> the admissi<strong>on</strong> criteria. The waiting list willbe kept until 31 December 2012.Selecti<strong>on</strong> TestsThe selecti<strong>on</strong> tests will take place <strong>on</strong> Friday28 September 2012 at the school. The testswill be NFER test papers in Verbal Reas<strong>on</strong>ing,N<strong>on</strong>-verbal Reas<strong>on</strong>ing <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> a Mathematicspaper <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> will be multiple choice. Practicepapers are available from W.H. Smith.
