Boarding applicati<strong>on</strong>sare now part of this scheme <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> applicati<strong>on</strong>swill be made <strong>on</strong> the appropriate LocalAuthority (LA) comm<strong>on</strong> applicati<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g>m.Applicati<strong>on</strong>s must also be made directly <strong>to</strong>Reading <strong>School</strong>.For <str<strong>on</strong>g>parents</str<strong>on</strong>g> who reside outside Engl<str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g>,applicati<strong>on</strong>s should be made directly <strong>to</strong>Reading <strong>School</strong> <strong>on</strong>ly.Parents should expect <strong>to</strong> receive anacknowledgement of their applicati<strong>on</strong> fromReading <strong>School</strong>.Only weekly boarding is available.Entrance TestsThe entrance tests will be taken at Reading<strong>School</strong>.There will be three tests each of lengthapproximately <strong>on</strong>e hour.They will coveri) Reas<strong>on</strong>ing [verbal <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g>/or n<strong>on</strong>-verbal(abstract)],ii)English <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g>iii) Mathematics.The tests will build <strong>on</strong> current good practiceadopted in primary schools <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> will bebased <strong>on</strong> the Nati<strong>on</strong>al Curriculum. They willbe tests <str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g> which no additi<strong>on</strong>al preparati<strong>on</strong>is necessary. No past papers are available<str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> no further in<str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g>mati<strong>on</strong> with respect <strong>to</strong>the tests will be given.
