Boarding applicationsare now part of this scheme <strong>and</strong> applicationswill be made on the appropriate LocalAuthority (LA) common application <strong>for</strong>m.Applications must also be made directly toReading School.For <strong>parents</strong> who reside outside Engl<strong>and</strong>,applications should be made directly toReading School only.Parents should expect to receive anacknowledgement of their application fromReading School.Only weekly boarding is available.Entrance TestsThe entrance tests will be taken at ReadingSchool.There will be three tests each of lengthapproximately one hour.They will coveri) Reasoning [verbal <strong>and</strong>/or non-verbal(abstract)],ii)English <strong>and</strong>iii) Mathematics.The tests will build on current good practiceadopted in primary schools <strong>and</strong> will bebased on the National Curriculum. They willbe tests <strong>for</strong> which no additional preparationis necessary. No past papers are available<strong>and</strong> no further in<strong>for</strong>mation with respect tothe tests will be given.
