(ie includingthe current year 11 students at Kendrickwho stay <strong>on</strong> in<strong>to</strong> Year 12.Special CategoryThe applicant is a child in care.Such an applicant, provided she has a predictedGCSE score above the cut-off point (54) will beoffered a place.Oversubscripti<strong>on</strong> CriteriaOversubscripti<strong>on</strong> criteria will be applied if thenumber of applicants with a points score of 54or above exceeds the available number ofplaces.i) Places will be offered <strong>to</strong> applicants fromReading Girls’ <strong>School</strong> (the partner schoolof the Kendrick Federati<strong>on</strong>.) provided theyhave a points score <strong>on</strong> or above the “cu<strong>to</strong>ff”point.ii) Applicants will be placed in rank order asdescribed above <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> places offered inorder from the highest ranked down <strong>to</strong> thecut-off point subject <strong>to</strong> the availability ofplaces.iii) If there are two or more applicants withthe same score, the rank order will bedetermined by r<str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g>om allocati<strong>on</strong>.In the event of r<str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g>om allocati<strong>on</strong> being used, anindependent adjudica<strong>to</strong>r will be appointed.Waiting List• The Waiting List will be used <strong>to</strong> offerplaces if any of the original offers aredeclined be<str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g>e 5 September 2013.• It will c<strong>on</strong>sist of all applicants above thecut-off point who have not received anoffer of a place by 15 March 2013 <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g>any Late Applicants whose score is abovethe cut-off point. These Late Applicantswill be c<strong>on</strong>sidered after those applicantswho met the deadline <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> are <strong>on</strong> or abovethe cut-off point have been c<strong>on</strong>sidered.They will be invited, in rank order, <strong>to</strong> ac<strong>on</strong>sultati<strong>on</strong> meeting <strong>on</strong> the basis of:• the overall availability of places.• their subject choices• the availability of places in those subjects.Applicants who remain <strong>on</strong> the waiting list after30 June 2013, will be advised <strong>to</strong> c<strong>on</strong>tact theschool, after GCSE results have been published,if they still wish <strong>to</strong> be c<strong>on</strong>sidered <str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g> a place inthe event of any becoming available. Details ofthe specific c<strong>on</strong>tact address will be given. Theseapplicants will be c<strong>on</strong>sidered, in rank order, <strong>on</strong>the basis described above. Applicants who d<strong>on</strong>ot c<strong>on</strong>firm their c<strong>on</strong>tinuing interest in a placewill not be approached until those who havec<strong>on</strong>tacted the school have been c<strong>on</strong>sidered. It isunlikely that any places will be offered after 14September 2013.Tie-break situati<strong>on</strong>Where two or more suitable c<str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g>idates <strong>on</strong> theWaiting List have the same score, an invitati<strong>on</strong><strong>to</strong> a c<strong>on</strong>sultati<strong>on</strong> meeting will be determined byr<str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g>om allocati<strong>on</strong> In the event of r<str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g>omallocati<strong>on</strong> being used, an independentadjudica<strong>to</strong>r will be appointed.In the event of any places remaining <strong>on</strong>ce allapplicants <strong>on</strong> the Waiting List have beenc<strong>on</strong>sidered, the Waiting List will be extended <strong>to</strong>those below the cut-off point. Where two ormore suitable c<str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g>idates have the same ranking,an invitati<strong>on</strong> <strong>to</strong> a c<strong>on</strong>sultati<strong>on</strong> meeting will beoffered <strong>to</strong> an applicant from Reading Girls’<strong>School</strong>. (The partner school of the KendrickFederati<strong>on</strong>.) Thereafter, invitati<strong>on</strong>s <strong>to</strong> ac<strong>on</strong>sultati<strong>on</strong> meeting will be determined byr<str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g>om allocati<strong>on</strong>, as described above.
