It would also benecessary <strong>to</strong> establish a his<strong>to</strong>ry of need bydem<strong>on</strong>strating that similar arrangements are inplace at the applicant’s current school. Kendrick<strong>School</strong> may c<strong>on</strong>tact the applicant’s primaryschool <strong>to</strong> verify <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> c<strong>on</strong>firm existingarrangements.Where special arrangements are required <str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g> thechild <strong>to</strong> take the Entrance Test, <str<strong>on</strong>g>parents</str<strong>on</strong>g> mustalso complete the appropriate secti<strong>on</strong> of theKendrick Applicati<strong>on</strong> Form.Over-subscripti<strong>on</strong> CriteriaGrammar schools are permitted <strong>to</strong> select theirentire intake <strong>on</strong> the basis of high academicability. To be c<strong>on</strong>sidered <str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g> admissi<strong>on</strong> <strong>to</strong> theschool all applicants must take the entrancetests set by the school.The test results will determine those <strong>on</strong> orabove the cut-off point of 109.0, below whichstudents will be deemed not <strong>to</strong> benefit fromthe educati<strong>on</strong> provided at Kendrick <strong>School</strong>, <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g>these students will not be offered a place <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g>will not there<str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g>e be ranked according <strong>to</strong> theover-subscripti<strong>on</strong> criteria below.All applicants with test results above the cut-offpoint will be ranked in the following order <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g>within each category strictly by theirper<str<strong>on</strong>g>for</str<strong>on</strong>g>mance in the test:i) the applicant has statement of specialeducati<strong>on</strong> needs <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> has Kendrick <strong>School</strong> isnamed <strong>on</strong> the statementii)the applicant is a child in care or wasiii)iv)previously in care but has since beenadopted.The permanent home address of theapplicant is within the designated area ofthe school <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> this address is the homeaddress of the parent(s)/carer(s) <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> thestudent.Applicant whose permanent home addressis outside the designated area of theschool.Designated areaThe designated area is determined by thepostcode of the applicant’s permanent homeaddress.
