There is a great need inevery nation for God to save,heal, deliver, prosper, and bringrestoration into people’s lives. TheGood News is that no matter whatwe may face, His power and gracenever change! He is the same—yesterday, today, andforever (Hebrews 13:8).I believe that as we obey His Word, gatherin unity, and pray in faith, we open up a way forHim to bring forth righteousness, healing, andrestoration in my own nation of America, yournation, and all the nations of the world! Let’s standin faith and confess these scriptural prayers to Goddaily for His kingdom to come and His will tobe done in all the earth, as it is done in heaven,according to Matthew 6:10. —Confession Prayer for the Healing andRestoration of the NationsIn 1 Timothy 2:1–4, we are instructed to pray forour nation and for our leaders, so that we may livepeaceful, godly lives for the Lord and carry out Hiswill to preach the Good News to everyone. As you prayand make the following scriptural confessions to theLord, use the blank spaces to insert the name of yournation, or any specific nation you wish to pray for.Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus topray for my nation, _____________, and all the nationsof the world. I make these confessions and prayers in faith,expecting You to pour out Your Spirit on all flesh (Acts 2:17).I humble myself now and seek Your face and Yourwill for _____________. I turn away now from anyungodliness in my own life, and ask You to forgive me ofany sins or errors I may have committed in Your sight.And I stand in the gap on behalf of my brothers andsisters in Christ. Help us to keep our hearts right beforeYou, so that You will hear our cry and forgive us and healour land of _____________ (2 Chronicles 7:14).Your Word instructs me to make requests, prayers,intercession, and thanksgiving for all people—especiallyall who are in authority in _____________, so that wemay live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness andholiness. So, I lift up the leaders of the government of_____________. From the person in the highest positionto the person who does the simplest of tasks, I pray thatYou will lead them. Give each leader in our government thewisdom to rule wisely and make decisions that will allowus to live in peace with each other (1 Timothy 2:1–4).Lord, be gracious to _____________. Bless us,and cause Your face to shine upon us, so that Your waysmay be known on earth and that salvation throughJesus will be seen among all nations. Give usutterance to speak Your Word boldly and with freedom, sothat all people may hear the Good News of the Gospel ofJesus Christ (Matthew 5:14–16, Ephesians 6:19).May the people and government of _____________be delivered from wicked and evil men. I pray that ourleaders will be open to Your holy Word and guidance, andI thank You that as new leaders arise, they will be willingto obey You and stand up for Your righteousness, so thatour land may be healed (2 Thessalonians 3:2–3).Give the leaders of _____________ a discerningheart so that they can distinguish right from wrong andgovern us wisely and in righteousness (1 Kings 3:9).I pray that our leaders will know how to wiselyinteract with all the governments and nations of the
