SETTING-UP ADVICEWith NXAMP4x1, because of this layout, it is not possible to use some rack rails with 2holes per rack unit (see picture bellow), because you will loose ½ U of rack space on thetop and bottom of the amplifier. Thus continuous rack rails or with 4 holes per rack unitshould be used.Using the NXAMP without a rackFusesIf you do not put the NXAMP into a rack, then it is mandatory to use the four rubber padsenclosed into the amplifier carton box. These auto adhesive pads should be stuck on eachcorner of the bottom of the amplifier. Without these rubber pads, some internalcomponents can be damaged when there is a shock (for example dropping the amplifier ona table). The fuses provided in the unit will not blow during normal operation. If one of thefuses blows it means that the Powered TDcontroller has malfunctioned. This fuse must onlybe changed by NEXO certified service personnel. In any case do not replace the fuse with anon-certified NEXO fuse, as this will invalidate the NEXO warranty.CAUTION!This servicing instruction is for use by qualified service personnel only. To reduce the risk ofelectric shock, do not perform any servicing other than that contained in the operatinginstructions unless you are qualified to do so.Electromagnetic environmentsThe emission (this word describes all types of electromagnetic noise radiated by theequipment) requirements which have been applied to Nexo’s Powered TDcontrollers are thestringent requirements of the “Commercial and light industrial environment” of the productfamily EMC standard for emission.PAGE 23 OF 103
