7 2 ORISAAC REGINALD BRIGHAM,junior partner of the firm of Smith& Brigham, and manager of theAssiniboia Roller Mills, Moosomin,Assiniboia, was born October Qth, 1856,at Ottawa. After receiving his primaryeducation in the Ottawa public schools,Mr. Brigham studied mechanical engineeringunder Alex. Flack, of Ottawa.He was employed in many leading manufacturinginstitutions, among whichare the Hinkley Lo<strong>com</strong>otive Works,Boston;Potter Printing Press Co., NewYork; Munn & Co., New Brunswick,N. J. ;Brainard Milling Machine Co.,Hyde Park, Mass.;L. J. Knowles,Worcester, Mass.; Pratt and Whitney,on Gattling and Gardner Guns, Hartford,Conn.; Hard Rubber Goods Co.,College Point; Goodyear Rubber Co.;Becket & McDowell, Arlington, N. J.;and Hohenstein Mnfg. Co., Newark,N. J. In 1888, Mr. Brigham formed apartnership with his uncle, Mr. C. J.Smith. The Assiniboia Roller Millshas a capacity of 130 bis. a day, ofthe very best quality of flour. Mr.Brighamis an active Conservativeworker, being president of the CentralConservative Association for EasternAssiniboia. In Religion, he is anEpiscopalian.
