44 MENERBERTERNEST HALL,.D.S., New Westminster, B.C.,was born August i5th, 1864,in Gloucester Township, Carleton County,Ontario. His parents removed toVictoria, British Columbia, when Dr.Hall was only eleven years of age. Hisfather was Lewis Hall and his motherElizabeth (Beardmore) Hall, formerlynatives of Staffordshire, England,who, after spending some time in Australiaand other parts of the world,settled in Ontario, in 1862. After agood English ediication, obtained fromthe public schools and by private study,Dr. Hall entered the PhiladelphiaDental College, in 1890, and graduatedfrom there in 1892. He proved himselfto be a diligent student, and passed hisprofessional examination with greatcredit both to himself and his professors.He at once went to New Westminister,B.C., and established himself in his presentlocation, where he is building up alarge practice. In religion, Dr. Hallis a Methodist, and president of theEpworth League in connection withthat church. He is also a member ofthe Y.M.C.A., I.O.F. and Royal Templars.He was married, May 3ist, 1886,to Miss Elizabeth, daughter of ThomasHerd, of Perth, Scotland.
