MKISI 477\\7lLLIAM WRIGHT, Commer-^ ^cial Traveller, Hats, Caps andFurs, representing James Coristine &Co., Montreal, was born in the Countyof Armagh, Ireland, July I2th, 1849.He is a son of Win. Wright, Esq., whowas educated for the ministry, butabandoned that calling for agriculture.Mr. Wright was educated at the FirstNational School in his native place, andafterwards attended the High School(Portadowu), where he <strong>com</strong>pleted his<strong>com</strong>mercial course. After leavingschool, he followed farming for threeyears, when he came to Canada (1873),and immediately entered the wholesalehat and fur establishment of Greene &Sons Co., Montreal, where he remainedfor twelve years. At the end of thattime, he associated himself with thefirm of James Coristine & Co.,whom withhe has since been identified astraveller in the Eastern Townships andPrince Edward Island. In religion,Mr. Wright is an Episcopalian, and inpolitics, a Conservative, and active inelection campaigns. He is also a prominentmember of the I.O.O.F. Mr.Wright was married, in 1883, to MissElizabeth Fraser, daughter of the lateThomas Fraser, of Montreal, who diedone year after her marriage.
