In religion,he is a Baptist, andin politics, a Conservative,an active and influentialworker in his party. He isa member of the I.O.O.F.,and has had all the honorsin his lodge. In 1892, lietook a prospecting trip tothe Pacific Coast, returningvia the United States. September3rd, 1884, Mr. Nortonmarried Margaret Lawsou,daughter of the lateStephen McCallum, Esq.,of Brackley Point, P.E.I.,by whom he has four daughters.
