MEN OK CANADA. 327GOVE, M. D., St. Andrews,N.B., was born at thatplace August yth, 1845. Heis the son of Dr. Samuel Tilley Gove,of St. Andrews, and Mary Howe,daughter of Samuel Fairweather, Esq.,of Sussex, N. B. The father of oursubject is perhaps the oldest and mostwidely known physician in New Brunswick.Dr. Gove received his educationat the Charlotte County GrammarSchool, St. Andrews, the Medical Collegeof Physicians and Surgeons, NewYork, and Edinburgh University. Hefinally graduated M.D. from the Collegeof Physicians and Surgeons, NewYork, with first-class honors,in 1862.He then practiced in St. Andrews andthe State of Maine, also in New Jersey,after which he returned to New Brunswickand practiced at Deer Island. In1889, he came back to St. Andrews, wherehe isdoing a very large practice. Dr.Gove was married April 24th, 1881, toGeorgie, daughter of Robert Townsend,Esq., Chamcook, N. B. His familyconsists of four sous and two daughters.He is a member of the NewBrunswick Medical Association, alsothe Maritime Province Medical Association.In religion, he is an Episcopalian,and in politics a Liberal-Conservative.
