CANADA.ARCHIBALD, Barristerand Stipendiary Magistratefor the town of NorthSydney, Cape Breton, was born Januaryi8th, 1856, at Sydney Mines, C. B.He is the son of the Honorable Thos.D. Archibald, Senator, and Susan ElizabethCorbett, both now deceased. Hereceived his education at the BostonLatin School and the Harvard LawSchool. He was admitted to the Barof the Province of Nova Scotia in June,1878, and has since practiced his professionat North Sydney. He is now amember of the firm of Archibald &Armstrong, who conduct a very largeand successful legal practice in the townand province. He is admirably adaptedfor the honorable and importantofficewhich he holds. His thorough knowledgeof law and his keen ability toanalyze evidence, enables him to disposeof the different matters broughtbefore him, with ability and dispatch.Judging from his past record, his futureis full of promise. In politics,Mr.Archibald is a Conservative, and inreligion a Presbyterian. Mr. Archibaldwas married, June I4th, 1887, toZaidee Francis Boggs, daughter ofGeorge Prior and Frances Ann Boggs,now deceased.
