Dr. McLeanreceived his education at Picton Academyand McGill University, Montreal,graduating in 1883, after which hepracticed for three years in Port Hastings,C. B. He then took a Wintercourse in Edinburgh, Scotland, afterwhich he returned to Canada and locatedin North Sydney, where he hassince remained, and has succeeded inworking up a large practice. He isand is knownwell up in his profession,as a skilful physician and surgeon.Dr. McLean is a member of the MasonicOrder, Independent Order of Odd Fellows,Sons of Temperance, and theand isCape Breton Medical Society,coroner for the counties of Invernessand Cape Breton. In religion, thedoctor is a Presbyterian, and holds theoffice of elder in St. Matthew's Church,North Sydney. He was married Nov.8th, 1887, to Miss Ada, daughter of Dr.S. G. A. McKeen and Rebecca JaneHadley, of Baddeck, Cape Breton.His family consists of two daughters.
