His parents wereRev. ruary, 1890, where he has since conducteda successful general law practice.John Black, D.D. and Henrietta(Ross) Black. Mr. Black was educatedin Kildonan parish school, St. for the Local House for Portage LaMr. Black was Conservative candidateJohn's College, Winnipeg, the ManitobaCollege Winnipeg, and Toronto feated by Hon. Jos. Martin, by onlyPrairie, Feb. 23rd, 1883, and was de-University, graduating from the latter a few votes. In religion, Mr. Black isin 1877, as silver medallist in classics. a Presbyterian and in politics, a Conservative.He was married, Oct. i2th,He was then in the law office of Messrs.Bain and Blanchard, Winnipeg, three 1 88 1, to Catherine, daughter of Senatoryears, and was called to the bar inFebruary, 1881.
