MKN OR CANADA. 2637T NDREW FRANCIS McAVEN-ZC\ NEY, D.D.S., practicing den-Vtist, St. John, N.B.,was bornNovember 6th, 1844,* n that city.Hisparents were Francis McAvenney andEllen McAvenney, both natives of Ireland.Dr. McAvenney was educated inthe schools of St. John, N.B., the HolyCross College, Worcester, Mass., andSt. Mary's College, Montreal, P. Q.He graduated in dentistry in Philadelphia,Pa., in 1867, and is the oldestpracticing dentist in the provinceNew ofBrunswick. His long experiencehas gained for him one of the largestdental connections in his <strong>com</strong>munity,and the confidence of the public generally.He was the first presidentelected for the New Brunswick DentalSociety, and is now a member of theDental Council. He is well known forhis professional skill, and highly esteemedfor those sterling qualities whichso materially aid an individual in be<strong>com</strong>ingan important factor in the <strong>com</strong>monwealth.In politics, he is a Liberal,and in religion, a Roman Catholic.Hewas married, September ayth, 1882, toMiss Mary E. Watters, daughter of thelate Hon. Judge Watters, of St. John,N.B. His family consists of threechildren, one son and two daughters.
