CHISHOLM,D.D., Rector of St. Francois-Xavier College, Antigonish,N.S., was born January Qth, 1859, inNorth Intervale, Guysboro County.His parents were Colin Chisholm, Esq.,and Christina Chisholni, both nativesof Scotland, the former coming to thishe was a student of the PropagandaCollege, Rome, where he was ordainedpriest, and where he took his degree inTheology in 1888. Since his return toNova Scotia, he has been in variouscapacities attached to the College,which has done so much for highereducation in Eastern Nova Scotia, andcountry in 1842, and the latter in which, judging from the strides made1820. Dr. Chisholni began his educationin the public schools of his yet greater success. Whilst yieldingin recent years, is destined to achievenative place, he continued it in GuysboroAcademy, and at the age of seven-his views on political and other ques-to no man his right to hold and expressteen, entered St. Francois-Xavier College,of which he is now rector.
