He is theson of Henry MacMonagle and IsabelPerkins, both of New Brunswick.He received his education atthe schools of Sussex,School, St. John, after which he enteredthe Grammarthe law office of Wedderburn (nowjudge) and MacMonagle, in St. John.Was called to the Bar in February,1871, and sworn in as Barrister thefollowing year.
