CHAPTER 6Using LinksYou can send an item from PaperPort to another application by using aPaperPort link. PaperPort automatically displays icons for linkedapplications on the Link Bar. The Link Bar shows such applications asword processing, spreadsheet, electronic fax, e-mail, graphics, OCR, andonline services on the Link Bar.The following figure shows a sample Link Bar in PaperPort:This chapter describes:• The basic steps for using links• Setting a link’s preferences• Managing the Link BarTHE BASIC STEPS FOR USING LINKSWhen you send an item to a linked application, PaperPort processes theitem, the application starts, and the item appears in the application.
