You can duplicate both <strong>PaperPort</strong> <strong>and</strong>non-<strong>PaperPort</strong> items. You can also use the Duplicate As <strong>PaperPort</strong> Itemcomm<strong>and</strong> to create a converted copy of a non-<strong>PaperPort</strong> item. Forexample, you can duplicate a Word file to create a copy of the Word file,or duplicate the Word file as a <strong>PaperPort</strong> item to convert the Word file tothe <strong>PaperPort</strong> format.After you convert a non-<strong>PaperPort</strong> item to <strong>PaperPort</strong>, you can takeadvantage of other features available only to <strong>PaperPort</strong> items, such as theannotation tools <strong>and</strong> the ability to create stacks.To create a duplicate of an item:1. On the Desktop, select the item.2. From the Desktop menu, choose Duplicate Item. The duplicateditem appears on the Desktop, with the title, Copy title.To duplicate an item as a <strong>PaperPort</strong> item:1. On the Desktop, right-click the non-<strong>PaperPort</strong> item, such as aWord document. A short cut menu appears.2. Choose Duplicate as <strong>PaperPort</strong> Item.
