<strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> <strong>Post</strong> Business Mail CentresItems must be placed in letter trays with the delivery address and Permit<strong>Post</strong>impression facing the same way, towards the front of the tray (where the labelis located).Within each sequenced mail tray, mail items must be sequenced in accordancewith the Mail Printing section of this specification.Within each un-sequenced mail tray, the mail items must be sequenced inascending postcode order where the postcode is known. Unsequenced itemswithout postcodes can be included but must be grouped after the postcodeordered items.LabellingAll trays, roll cages and ULDs must have a <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> <strong>Post</strong> tray labelattached.Sequenced and un-sequenced items must be presented in separate trays withseparate labelling requirements.For sequenced items the label must include:the word “ROUND” either printed, stamped or hand-writtenthe Round Number range that applies to items within the tray (that is,the first and last Round Numbers). Round Numbers must be enteredinto the fields on standard tray labels usually used for <strong>Post</strong>code rangethe lodgement day crossed to identify when mail was lodged with <strong>New</strong><strong>Zealand</strong> <strong>Post</strong>a reference code (for example, customer or mailing house reference)the green label for lodgements originating from the North Island andthe purple label for lodgements originating from the South IslandFor un-sequenced items the label must include:the word “POSTCODE” either printed, stamped or hand-writtenthe postcode range that applies to items within the tray (that is, the firstand last postcode numbers)the lodgement day crossed to identify when mail was lodged with <strong>New</strong><strong>Zealand</strong> <strong>Post</strong>a reference code (for example, customer or mailing house reference)the red labelLetter trays are available from your nearest <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> <strong>Post</strong> Mail ServiceCentre. Letter trays must not weigh more than 12kg. If a tray weighs morethan this, mail must be split into two or more trays.If you use more than 40 trays per lodgement, a container service is available.Statement of <strong>Post</strong>ingA Statement of <strong>Post</strong>ing form must accompany your mail lodgement or yourlodgement will not be able to be processed. The Statement of <strong>Post</strong>ing formmust be electronically submitted via Lodgement Manager.Once the lodgement form has been submitted, no subsequent changes will bepermitted.You must use the following codes when lodging:SizeMedium (e.g. DLE)Large (e.g. C5)ProductCodeVPSMVPSLPUG 8g (October 2013) Page 4 of 5
