Creating debug hardware target configurations5.14 Changing <strong>the</strong> properties of a deviceYou can change <strong>the</strong> properties of any device in <strong>the</strong> scan chain, if required. The propertiesavailable depend on <strong>the</strong> device you are configuring. For example, if you want to capture tracefrom an ETM, you must make sure <strong>the</strong> Embedded Trace Macrocell (ETM) option is selected.To change <strong>the</strong> properties of a device:1. Select <strong>the</strong> Devices node in <strong>the</strong> tree diagram.2. Select <strong>the</strong> device in <strong>the</strong> scan chain configuration list.3. Click Properties... to display <strong>the</strong> Device Properties dialog box. The following figureshows an example:Figure 5-11 The Device Properties dialog boxNoteIt is not possible to use an ETB without an ETM, so when you select ETB, ETM isselected automatically.4.
