Creating debug hardware target configurations5.4 Configuring a JTAG scan chainUse <strong>the</strong> scan chain controls to configure a scan chain for <strong>the</strong> currently connected debughardware unit:Figure 5-3 Scan chain controlsAs you add devices to <strong>the</strong> JTAG scan chain, a schematic diagram of <strong>the</strong> scan chain is created,as shown in <strong>the</strong> following example:Figure 5-4 Scan chain schematic diagramIf a platform configuration file exists for your target, <strong>the</strong> Select Platform dialog box is displayed.If you want to use <strong>the</strong> platform configuration file:1. Select <strong>the</strong> platform.2. Click OK.
