Configuring CoreSight systems6.6 Defining CoreSight trace associationsYou can define CoreSight trace associations:By orderCoreSight components are accessible through a Debug Access Port (DAP). Thetemplate used to access the DAP is called the ARM CoreSight Debug Port(ARMCS-DP). Any CoreSight components that follow the ARMCS-DP areassociated with it. If there are multiple DAPs, the devices must be ordered thisway:1. ARMCS-DP2. associated CoreSight devices3. ARMCS-DP4. associated devices.NoteThe order of the devices listed in the trace association file must match the orderof devices as defined in the Debug Hardware Config utility.By input and output attributesComponents have inputs and outputs, and when you define these connections youdefine the trace flow through a system.6.6.1 See alsoConcepts• About trace associations on page 6-6• CoreSight topology and associations for the CoreSight DK11 on page 6-15• CoreSight topology and associations for the Cortex-R4 FPGA on page 6-17• CoreSight topology and associations for the Cortex-M3 FPGA on page 6-19• CoreSight topology and associations for multiple trace sources on page 6-21.Reference• CoreSight device names and classes on page 5-52• Trace Association Editor dialog box on page 6-9• Format of trace associations on page 6-8.ARM DUI 0498F Copyright © 2010-2012 ARM.
