325 A-PMD Series Digital Home Theater Speaker SystemsNEW PRODUCT BULLETINYamaha’s Exclusive Advanced PMD ConeWoofers for Natural Sound ReproductionThe Advanced PMD (Polymer-injected MicaDiaphragm) cones are 15% lighter thanprevious types, thanks to the use of a lowspecific gravity material called PMP (Poly-Menthyl-Penten) that provides fasterresponse (speed of sound rise and fall).Internal loss has been increased by 43%,lessening unwanted resonances to achievethe smooth frequency response that resultsin natural-sounding vocals. The proportion ofbase resin (powdered mica) and filler (talc)was determined by extensive listening tests, also in order to achieve natural vocals. Thesuspension (spider material and shape) wasalso re-designed for better bass responseand wider dynamic range. Finally, the pearlwhite external appearance provides animpression of fresh, clean sound.13cn Advanced PMD Woofer (Left) and 3cnAluminum Dome Tweeter (Right)3cm Aluminum Dome Tweeters with DC-Diaphragm and New FrameThe high-performance tweeter features adome made of an aluminum, with a DC-Diaphragm that integrates the diaphragmand voice coil. The magnet is an new extrapowerfulneodymium type. As a result, thetweeter is extremely light to minimize soundloss, yet is highly durable. It is capable ofreproduction all the way up to 100kHz,which is exceptional performance for a 3cmdome tweeter. Highs are crisp and cleareven at high power levels. The tweeter frame utilizes a new designthat provides a better connection to thediaphragm edge to prevent frequencyresponse degradation due to reflectedwaves. The aperture angle of the defuserhas been increased for more naturaltransmission of thesound from thediaphragm. Inaddition, smaller sizeand higher stiffnessresult in better soundimage localizationand depthreproduction. DC-DiaphragmHigh-Performance Crossover NetworksThe crossover networks use highperformancesolen capacitors withextremely low loss characteristics, ensuringfast response.Innovative Triple Cross-Bracing (NS-325F)The cabinet has triple cross-bracing with aunique wedge structure (patent pending). R-beveling reduces diffraction effects. Thisconstruction also increases strength for lessunwanted vibration.Three-Way Mitered Construction Cabinetwith Chamfered BaffleYamaha speakers have employed 45°mitered-joint construction at the cabinetcorners and baffle/body joints for manyyears. On the 325 A-PMD Series, miteredconstruction is also used for the back panel, improving the tightness of the joints so theentire cabinet behaves as a single body. This improves low frequency response andreduces unwanted vibration. In addition, thechamfered baffle acts to reduce sounddiffraction.Luxurious Real Wood FinishAll 325 A-PMD Series cabinets haveNS-C3252-Way AcousticSuspension CenterSpeaker SystemNS-325F2-Way Bass-ReflexTower SpeakerSystemNS-M3252-Way AcousticSuspension SpeakerSystemThree-WayMiteredConstructionBaffle Board45ºSide Boardsurfaces of high qualitywood and are given aluxurious andprotectiveurethane/polyestercoating.Gold-Plated Brass-Extruded TerminalsEven the terminals ofthese speakers arehigh quality, beingmade of brass andgold-plated for highersignal conductivity.ConventionalMortisedConstructionBaffle BoardConventionalMortisingSide BoardPowerful Subwoofer YST-SW325 with AdvancedTechnology for Top-ClassSound Quality.
