FINAL ADJUSTMENTS - ContinuedAdjust flow control valve (FIG. 28-1) on power pack so platform does not open too slowly ortoo quickly from stowed position.• Platform will make a banging noise if it opens too quickly.• In 55ºF to 95ºF temperature range and with platform observed to belowering at normal speed, platform opening time should be in range of 4to 6 seconds.• If temperatures are below 55ºF and valve setting is the same, it may takelonger for platform to open.FLOW CONTROLVALVEOPENSLOWERADJUSTABLE FLOW CONTROL VALVE(POWER PACK FOR CAM CLOSER RC IS SHOWN)FIG. 28-1OPENFASTERTo ensure that the platform brakes are working properly, perform the following simple test:1. Open Platform and let unit down so that the bottom of the Runner on one side rests on afl oor jack.2. Raise the jack about 3” or so and let the jack down.3. The Runner should stay in the jacked-up position. If it falls down to its original positionresting on the jack, then the brake is not working and must be checked.4.
