MHSOB’s Andrew Villani has been one of the most dominant backmen in both Premier B and Cfor the last six seasons. Andrew’s ability to shut down the best full-forwards while generatinggreat rebound himself saw him selected at full-back in the C Grade team of the year inMelbourne High School OBFC’s most recent premiership season in 2009. During a trying 2011season for the club Andrew has been a shining light in defence.Glen Eira Saint would Sean Lithgow has been an active member both on and off the field as aplayer, and committeemen.100Monash Gryphon’s and the effervescent Robert Fletcher joined the club from the CastlemaineMagpies in 2003. As well as being a Reserves premiership player in 2010, Rob has been afine servant of the club off the field culminating is the Presidency in 2009-10. Rob would likenothing more than a hard fought win to make his milestone complete.De La Salle’s Luke Semmel was a member of the clubs 2007 under 19 Premier division flag andmade his senior debut the following season and was awarded the clubs most improved trophyin 2010. A tough, solidly built mid fielder Luke is know for his ferocious tacking and attack onthe football. Luke is an established member of the senior team.Glen Eira Saint Abe Devries. Abe has been an active member both on and off the field as aplayer, and committeemen.50MHSOB’s Ramsay Willmott was a late starter at the club after playing elite level volleyball.With his massive leap and excellent hands, he has played senior footy as a ruckman, despitebarely being over six feet tall. Whether in the ruck, on a wing or in defence, Ramsay has anunparalleled ability to get in the head of his opponents, as well as to take huge pack marks.Old Geelong’s Tom Slattery started at the Club back in 2008 and has become a core part of oursuccessful Reserves team, whereby he is the reigning Best and Fairest winner.50NOBSPC’s Rhys Allitt is best known as the man who kicked the winning goal with 20 secondsto go in the 2009 D1 Reserves GF, and he’s since gone on to establish himself as a prime moverin the seniors midfield, with his ability to win the ball in heavy traffic a stand-out.THE AMATEUR FOOTBALLER 2011 45
