St Bedes battled gamely againstCollegians, before being overrun in the 2 nd half.Old Xavs had a confidence and percentageboosting victory against Old Trinity.The race for fourth will be finalised this weekend.All three contenders, Melburnians, Blues and DeLa should be victorious, leaving Old Melburniansfifth and starting their ‘mad Monday’ this Monday.Uni Blacks propelled themselves into the topfour with a comfortable 55 point victory overMarcellin. Leigh Dadswell, whose dad we hopeis well, and Tom Oldfield with five goals, were thebest afield for the students. In beautiful conditionsat Brighton Beach Oval, Old Brighton wallopedWhitefriars, Patty Healey doing the damage for theBrighton ians. Old Xavs consolidated their place inthe finals with a 23 point win against St Bernards.Travelling to the snake-pit is always a dauntingtask, but Jack Franklyn’s bustling performancecoupled with Ben Corcoran’s six goals helped thevisitors to victory.
