Position TitleStatusLevelKey ObjectivesDirect Reports (if applicable):Senior GroundspersonFull Time, ongoingSalaried positionProvide support and assistance to the Head Groundsperson in ensuring theplaying surface is maintained in a safe and satisfactory condition for eventdays and all training sessions.Maintain all facets of the outer ground and garden facilities of AAMI Stadiumprecinct, having expertise in the preparation and use of ComputerisedIrrigation System. Provide a role model and training support for other teammembers.NilKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Outer Ground and Garden Facilities Maintenance• Operate and service drips systems along with all aspects of pumps and irrigation• Mow No. 2 and 3 training facilities• Mow car parks and surrounds• Trim trees, bushes around ovals and boundary fences• Maintain edges• Brush cut and snip around posts and trees• Pick up rubbish, keep the park clean• Assist with co-ordination of refuse disposal when required• Maintain operation repairs to hydraulic lines and valve operation in the irrigation system• Repair and service sprinkler heads and under ground pipe work• Regularly maintain bins in the outer grounds• Line mark No. 3 oval and athletic tracks as required• Fertilising• Spraying and safe use of chemicals• Maintain garden areas and lawns surrounding Tavern and Conference area• Maintain car park fences, rails and gates• Goal post covers• Super Box roof flags/ scoreboard flags• Report all damage, vandalism and graffiti to Head Groundsperson immediately• Report machinery damage and required maintenance to Head Groundsperson immediately• Provide direction as required by the Head Groundsperson to temporary or other groundstaffOval surface Maintenance• Line marking of oval• Mowing oval and repairing divots• Fertilising• Spraying and safe use of chemicals• Weeding, sodding• Irrigation Maintenance• Maintaining instant turf nursery• Levelling and top dressing uneven surfaces, keeping surface litter free.• Edge the perimeter drain• Maintain a level of security for persons entering the playing arena as designated by Stadium Manager andHead Groundsperson• Assist with weekly development of checklists and maintenance schedules• Other Groundsman’s duties as requiredRevision Date: May 20102
