In a joint effort to addressthe shortage of qualified fire fighterapplicants, a new program will be offeredat SCC-PSTC located inFranklin.This program will consist of acondensed, intensive 18-weekcourse that will produce qualifiedfirefighter applicants possessing certificationsas a Level 1 Firefighter,Basic EMT, Hazmat, Wildfire Firefighterand Commercial Driver’s Licenseprep with a focus on gainingFire Truck/Tanker endorsements.The Fire Fighter Academy isscheduled to begin the first week ofMarch 2013.
