2011 Mid-America Invitational Whitetail Deer AuctionBarrens Edge WhitetailsIvan Zimmerman202 Sawmill LaneMartinsburg, PA 16662(814) 793-4438CWD 04/02 TB Accred Bruc CertLot 4FridayWe started raising deer in 1999 by bottle feeding doe fawns for Griffiths Brothers. It has been very excitingto see the industry grow since we have began. Our belief is that raising deer should be fun and rewarding. We strongly supportDNA test proofing your deer and we gurarantee all of our animals to what we sell them to be.Here at Barren’s Edge Whitetails our goal is to produce bucks with wide frames, long tines and the overall look thatthe whitetail should have. We also want to provide great does for the breeding industry. We use some of the top end sires, but trytoselect them carefully by look and production, not just by overall score. Our 2009 AI sires include: Bambi Escalade, Maximus DT,Poncho, BJ, Lil Bear, Sundance, Geronimo XL, and Copperhead (Rocky Ridge’s Maxbo/Bucky yearling). We have semen availablefrom 5 of our own bucks: GeMag 265” @ 4, Bravo 288 6/8” @ 4, Festus 225” @ 4, Skyscraper 230” @ 4, Ivan 225” @ 4, and SirRoland 178” @ 1.We realize the importance of the does pedigrees. We are constantly trying to add depth to our does pedigrees by AIbreeding, stacking genetics. We have even bought in a few does over the past few years. If your in central Pennsylvania, stop in at the farm and take a look around.
