Linear Motion and Assembly Technologies eLINE BSA R310A 3314 (2005.04)eLINE Ball Screw AssembliesProduct OverviewProduct BackgroundeLINE Ball Screws are available from stock as complete assemblies, with screw-in or flanged nuts. The pre-finished machining is easily combined with the fixed bearing LGL(support block with bearing) as a complete package. The eLine products can simplify the choices for many customer-specifiedtransport applications. The part number specification and ordering process for new applicationscan also be handled more effectively.Relaxed tolerances provide very economical linear motion solutions. Everynut is assembled with clearance. The flanged nut comes standard with seals; the screw-in version offers sealsas an option.Cost savings are always a priority with the eLINE.The load capacity of the support bearing is critical. By friction welding thebearing forward, we were able to enlarge smaller screw diameters andincrease the load bearing capacity.

R310A 3314 (2005.04)eLINE BSA Linear Motion and Assembly Technologies Bosch Rexroth Corp. 5Advantages– High axial load capacity– From stock– Flanged or screw-in nuts– With seals, if specified– Bearing and slotted lock nutoptionalAngular-contact thrust bearing with Nut, LAL seriesThe end bearing LGL with angular-contact ball bearing in an X arrangement makesan ideal accessory.Grooved Ball Bearingwith Safety Ring, LAD seriesStorage with grooved Ball Bearings– High load capacity– Very easy mounting with the flanged housing– Corrosion-resistant housing– Seals provide protection from contaminants– Simple preload of the fixed bearing– Maintenance free for most application due to the large lubricant reservoir withinitial greasingEconomical turnkey solutions made easy.

This initial lubricationallows for relubrication using either oilor grease. If you use a different type oflubrication, please ensure that theother lubricant can be mixed. In specialcases, you can specify a corrosionpreservedBall Screw Assembly.Important:The selected lubricant must be in thenut before the machine is started.Cleaning:Various cleaning agents can be usedto degrease and wash the assembly:– Aqueous cleaning agents– Organic cleaning agentsImmediately after cleaning, thoroughlydry all parts, then apply a preservativecoating or anti-corrosion oil.In all cases, take care to observe theappropriate legal regulations(environmental protection, health andsafety at work, etc.) as well as thespecifications for the cleaning agent(e.g. handling).StorageNut mountingBall screw assemblies are high-qualitysystems that must be treated with duecare. In order to prevent damage andcontamination, the elements should notbe removed from the protectivewrapping until immediately beforeinstallation. Once they have beenremoved from the packaging, they mustbe set down on V-shaped cradles.Single nut with standard backlashSingle nut with reduced backlashThe nut unit may only be mounted using a mounting arbor. The outer diameter ofthe arbor should be approx. 0.1 mm smaller than the root diameter of the screw. In most cases, the transport arobor on which the nuts are delivered may be usedto mount the nut. The end of the screw thread must be chamfered in order toprevent damage to the seal and the internal components of the nut unit. The various mounting steps aredescribed below. Proceed in reverseorder when removing the nut from thescrew. Take particular care not todamage the nut, screw or internalcomponents, as this could result inthe premature failure of the ball screwassembly.Mounting arborSizeDimensions (mm)d 0x P L D iD a12 x 5/10 55 8 9.8516 x 5/10 70 11 12.720 x 5 70 15 16.525 x 5/10 90 20 21.732 x 5/10 100 26 28D iD aL
