Catalog: ET115.26-EG7 (908)GUIDE SPECIFICATIONS<strong>HL</strong> <strong>Fan</strong>-Coil <strong>Units</strong> <strong>Low</strong>-<strong>Profile</strong>, <strong>Horizontal</strong>All <strong>coil</strong>s shall be hydrostatically tested at 450 PSIG airpressure under water, and rated for a maximum of 300PSIG working pressure at 200°F.Direct expansion cooling <strong>coil</strong>s shall include a fixedorifice metering device. All evaporator <strong>coil</strong>s shall befactory sealed and charged with a minimum 5 PSIGnitrogen or refrigerated dry air.Steam <strong>coil</strong>s shall be standard steam type suitable fortemperatures above 35°F and 15 PSIG maximum workingpressure.Option: Coil casing shall be fabricated from StainlessSteel.All <strong>coil</strong>s shall be provided with a manual air vent fittingto allow for <strong>coil</strong> venting.Option: Provide automatic air vents in lieu of manualair vents.Heating <strong>coil</strong>s shall be furnished in the reheat or preheatposition on units with chilled water <strong>coil</strong>s, or in the reheatposition for DX <strong>coil</strong>s.DRAIN PANSPrimary condensate drain pans shall be single wall,heavy gauge galvanized steel for corrosion resistance,and extend under the entire cooling <strong>coil</strong>. Drain pansshall be of one-piece construction and be positivelysloped for condensate removal. Drain pans on concealedmodels shall be field reversible for right or lefthand connections.The drain pan shall be externally insulated with a fireretardant, closed cell foam insulation. The insulationshall carry no more than a 25/50 Flame Spread andSmoke Developed Rating per ASTM E-84 and UL 723and an Antimicrobial Performance Rating of 0, noobserved growth, per ASTM G-21.Option: Provide a single wall primary drain pan constructedentirely of heavy gauge stainless steel forsuperior corrosion resistance. Stainless steel drain pansshall be externally insulated and meet or exceed therequirements stated above.FILTERSAll plenum and exposed units shall be furnished with aminimum 1" nominal glass fiber throwaway filter. Filtersshall be tight fitting to prevent air bypass. Plenum unitfilters shall be easily removable from the bottom of theunit without the need for tools.Option: Provide unit with 1" pleated filter (MERV 6).ELECTRICAL<strong>Units</strong> shall be furnished with single point power connection.Provide an electrical junction box with terminal stripfor motor and other electrical terminations. The factorymounted terminal wiring strip consists of a multiple positionscrew terminal block to facilitate wiring terminationsfor the electric control valves and thermostats.Option: Provide a hinged electrical enclosure in thebottom of the unit for easy access to all electrical components,terminal blocks and wiring.ELECTRIC HEATFurnish an electric resistance heating assembly as anintegral part of the fan <strong>coil</strong> unit, with the heating capacity,voltage and kilowatts scheduled. The heaterassembly shall be designed and rated for installationon the fan <strong>coil</strong> unit without the use of duct extensionsor transitions, and be located in the unit as to notexpose the fan assembly to excessive leaving air temperaturesthat could affect motor performance.The heater and unit assembly shall be listed for zeroclearance and meet all NEC requirements, and be ETLlisted with the unit as an assembly in compliance withUL/ANSI Standard 1995.All heating elements shall be open <strong>coil</strong> type nichromewire mounted in ceramic insulators and located in aninsulated heavy gauge galvanized steel housing. Allelements shall terminate in a machine staked stainlesssteel terminal secured with stainless steel hardware forcorrosion resistance. The element support bracketsshall be spaced no greater than 3-1/2" on center. Allinternal wiring shall be rated for 105°C minimum.Option: Provide a secondary drain connection on theprimary drain pan for condensate overflow.20 ENVIRO-TEC
