As indicated in the schema and detailed in [RD-02], four different types of centrehave been distinguished according to their functions:- The CGS (Core Ground Station) has two possible configurations:• Light, with data reception role: data reception from satellite, processing up to Level-0 and relaying level-0 received data to the PAC-1.• Full, with combined data reception and data centre roles: data reception fromsatellite, processing up to Level-1C and data dissemination.- Two PACs (PAC-1 and PAC-2), each one holding a collocated LTA service functionensuring long-term data preservation in full redundancy of all Level-0, Level-1B andLevel-1C data. In addition the two PACs are configured differently as regarding their midtermrole:• PAC-1 includes a processing chain configuration to process all CGS-4 circulatedacquisitions and perform medium-term reprocessing operations on a 3 monthslevel-0 archive. It is additionally sized for on-line publishing of one year of cloudfreelevel-1C data collected from all stations.• PAC-2 is sized for on-line publishing of one year of European coverage datasupplied regularly by CGS-1/2/3 and by the PAC-1 for CGS-4 data.<strong>ESA</strong> UNCLASSIFIED – For Official Use© <strong>ESA</strong>The copyright of this document is the property of <strong>ESA</strong>.
