In this study, an exampleCGS network of four ground-stations is assumed, composed of:CGS-1: Kiruna in Northern Sweeden; CGS-2: Svalbard (used only for the blind orbits of Kiruna) in Norway; CGS-3: Prince Albert in Northern Canada; CGS-4: Maspalomas in the Canary Islands (Spain);The study details the instrument observation and downlink times at every orbit of the repeatcycle, associating the overall imaged and downlinked data volume as well as the stationcontact times with every station.Based on the PDGS processing logic imposing a fixed amount of time (100 minutes) toprocess all the downlinked data, the worst-case considered for the budget estimationcorresponds to the largest downlink at each station over the cycle.A scaling has been applied on the simulated downlink volumes to consider: The new MSI data supply rate of 490 Mbps instead of the original 440 Mbps rateassumed in [RD-04], i.e. an increase ratio of (490/440). The volume estimations reported in [RD-04] in Gbit units are to be interpreted with1Gbit = 10 9 bits, implying a factor of (2 27 /10 9 ) for their transcriptions in GBytes as perthe conventions taken in this document.The normalisation factor is computed as a simple volume ratio with respect to the referencebenchmark datastrip size of 57GBytes.
