Fail-safe springThe fail-safe spring is a coil spring which forces<strong>the</strong> anti-<str<strong>on</strong>g>roll</str<strong>on</strong>g> bar closed if <strong>the</strong>re are faults in <strong>the</strong>hydraulic supply or electrical defects.An axial needle bearing is fitted between <strong>the</strong>fail-safe spring and <strong>the</strong> switching element tominimise wear.<str<strong>on</strong>g>Anti</str<strong>on</strong>g>-<str<strong>on</strong>g>roll</str<strong>on</strong>g> bar uncoupling butt<strong>on</strong> E484The anti-<str<strong>on</strong>g>roll</str<strong>on</strong>g> bar uncoupling butt<strong>on</strong> is locatedcentrally <strong>on</strong> <strong>the</strong> centre c<strong>on</strong>sole. ServiceVenting <strong>the</strong> systemBefore <strong>the</strong> system can be vented, it must bec<strong>on</strong>nected to <strong>the</strong> VAS 5051 Diagnosis Testing andInformati<strong>on</strong> System, for example, anddepressurised.Ventilati<strong>on</strong> nippleBefore venting, remove <strong>the</strong> dust caps andc<strong>on</strong>nect a transparent plastic hose to <strong>the</strong>ventilati<strong>on</strong> nipple.
