To create a 3D découpage you will need several
sheets of Découpage 3D paper with
the same subject. rom one sheet, cut out the
complete base image. From the others cut out
only the parts you want to build up in relief.
3 4
Apply another coat of Vernicolla
to the entire surface and
to the upper surface of the various
cut-outs.
5 6
To maintain the rounded effect,
spread Gomma Mastice
on the back of the convex
cut-outs there is no need for
glue.
3D Decoupage
Apply a coat of Vernicolla 3D
varnish glue and the basic
image to the panel surface.
Lay the cut-outs face down on the
rubber mat and give the paper a
convex effect with circular movements
of the burin.
Layer the cut-out images to create
a 3d effect; Gomma Mastice creates
volume between the various layers
and holds them together.
Spatula Painting
Remove all traces of grease and thoroughly
clean the back of the glass plate.
pour a few drops of Colorink gold near
to the edges of the back of the plate, using
a large sponge brush, and use Diluente
spray thinner to create a slight shading
Now paint the palm trees on the front
of the plate, using a spatula to apply
Pasta Rilievo antique gold, emerald
and leaf, harmoniously alternating
these.
1 2 3
Before the Colorink gold is completely dry,
load a sponge brush pad with Colorink havana
and another with Colorink bark and then
ink the plate, creating parallel lines by alternating
the colours in the same direction.
As soon as the palm trees are completely
dry, apply Patina gold using
an flat brush.
Allow the base to dry, then apply two
coats of Allegro dove grey and allow
to dry again. Apply a gloss Finising
varnish to protect the plate.
4 5 6
Last of all, create the gold edge by
mixing Laccanticante antique-effect
lacquer and Porporina (purpurin) and
using a sponge to apply the colour thus
obtained to create an even finish.
La Vie en Rose
Homer tells that Aurora,
the morning godness, painted, every
dawn, the universe with “pink’s fingers”.
actually the rose is the most symbolic and
told flower. Ancient philosophers and poets,
from ancient Greece and Rome were
enchanted by its charm and the middle
age lyricists as well, were inspired by
the rose’s image. Dante, one of the most
representative poet of our Middle Age
epoch, compares the highest love to the
rose’s centre… the rose is the floral decoration
more suitable to decorate with
elegance and a touch of romanticism tiny
home accessories. Scrap, découpage, decorative
