First Verbal Warning given to Coach of defensive team by zone buster/referee2. Repeated offending – “Technical Foul” given to Coach of defensive teamNote if a coach receives two Technical Fouls, he/she will be ejected from the stadium, then the“Technical Foul will go on the player repeating in zone defense.Team RosterPlease ensure that all your players are registered with the BBNZ office and are eligible to compete inthe tournament. Once a team’s first game commences, only those players listed on the score sheet forthe first game may participate in the remainder of that <strong>Tournament</strong> as players. [BBNZ InternalRegulations F1.5]Score Bench DutyYour team will be rostered to complete at least one scorebench duty. Please provide four competentscore bench personnel for your duty. Every effort will be made to assist teams when able. As Host wewill cover the opening games each day plus quarter finals, semi-finals and finals (possibly other fixturespersonnel permitting).On-line <strong>Draw</strong> and ResultsThe results can be viewed on the BBNZ website using the following link:www.bbnztournaments.sportingpulse.netCanteenFlavours Café is onsite at the Stadium. They provide a full range of catering services.Awards CeremonyThe awards ceremony will be held from the conclusion of the last game of the tournament.2


RubbishPlease be considerate and ensure your team removes any rubbish from the bench at the end of yourgame. Please do not leave rubbish in the changing rooms and leave in a tidy state for other teams.Traffic into WellingtonAllow plenty of time to get to your games.Disputes ProcedureIn the unlikely event of a dispute the procedure is: the team captain is to sign the bottom of the scoresheet in the box provided within 20 minutes of the completion of the game. The team then has one hourto lodge a written report and pay a bond payment of $250 to the <strong>Tournament</strong> Director. A JudicialCommittee will be assembled to consider the dispute. The Judicial Committee is made up of threerepresentatives – Technical Commissioner, <strong>Tournament</strong> Director and a BBNZ Representative. If theCommittee rules in favour of the dispute, the bond will be refunded to the team.Programmes and <strong>Tournament</strong> PacksThese can be picked up at the Technical Meeting.EvacuationIf the building needs to be evacuated please leave through the front doors and assemble in the car parkby the Assembly Point.Important Details Forfeit of Game - $500 fine. Uniforms – in the event of a clash Team A is to wear their light coloured uniforms and Team B isto wear their dark coloured uniforms, unless teams can come to a mutual agreement. Team Benches – Sitting at the scorebench; Team A MUST sit to the left and Team B MUST sit tothe right. Please ensure all games start correctly with this procedure. Only the rostered playersand management are allowed to sit on the team bench. All supporters must sit in the stands. Scorebench - If there is a problem with the scorebench, only the coach may approach on a deadball and then ask the referee to check the enquiry. Other management may approach the benchduring the 2 minute break at quarter time and at half time. They MUST NOT approach the benchany other time to check the score sheet or query the scorebench. The tournament will use BBNZ Internal Regulations and FIBA Rules.BBNZ Code of Conduct and FairplayPlease ensure that all your participants (coaches, managers, players, spectators, parents, officials) readand abide by the attached BBNZ Code of Conduct and Fairplay. House – KeepingEmergencyIn the event of an emergency evacuate through the nearest exit. If the nearest exit is at the south-side of the building congregate at the outdoor basketball court If the nearest exit is at the north-end of the building congregate at the north-west corner of thecar-parkFood and Drink No food or hot drinks, high heeled shoes are allowed on the courts. Only water and sports drinks are permitted onto the court.Toilets and Showers There are showers situated at the north-end of the building Toilets are situated at the front of the building by the lifts, in the central block by Court 3 and atthe north-end of the buildingParking Parking is permitted in the stadium grounds and in the underground car-park at no charge.First-Aid The First –Aid bay is located at the northeast corner of the building and St John Ambulance willbe available to provide care and assistance in the event of injuries or accidents.Location of Closest – (see map below)A.
