6. Rosters:a. Players may play on only the one team they are registered for and can only play in one game pernight. It is up to the officials and supervisors to determine whether a player is legal or not.b. An opposing coach may protest a suspected illegal player, the first time he enters the playingfield with the official or field supervisor.c. The official’s or supervisor’s ruling is final on player eligibility. Illegal players will be suspendeduntil they can confirm proper registration.d. All teams may be subject to a roster check by South Suburban staff prior to any game.e. High school team rosters must be set by the conclusion of the first game. No additionalplayers may be added after this time. Any teams found using illegal players after the first gamewill be eliminated from the post‐season playoffs. Rosters will be checked before each gameduring the post‐season playoffs.7. Scoring:a. A goal is scored when the ball passes completely over the goal line and into the goal cage.Scoring must be by an attacker’s crosse and not off the body of an attack player. A goal may bescored off the defender’s body or crosse.b. No scores or standings are maintained for U15 and below; no post‐season awards will be givenout. Scores and standings will be maintained for the high school divisions ONLY. Check withLeague Coordinator for tie breaker rules.c. A modified competition rule (MCR) will be in effect when any team gains a four‐goal lead. Afterthe score that makes the four (or more) point difference, the losing team will be givenpossession of the ball at the mid‐field line in lieu of a face‐off, (ONLY if desired by the coach orteam administer). The MCR does not eliminate the start of the second half face‐off.8. Body Checking:a. Allowed in the U12‐U15 divisions; however, no take‐out checks are allowed by any player.Definition: Take Out Checks‐checks in which any player (offense or defense with or withoutthe ball) lowers his head or shoulder with the force and intent to take out (put to the ground)the other player. No body checking of any kind is allowed in the U11 and below divisions,which includes no man/ball, crowd clearing, illegal body pushing. If the ball is not moving, thereferee will start play following the alternating possession rule.9. Personal and Expulsion Fouls:a. In the U8‐U11 divisions, any poke check not making contact with the gloved hand while holdingthe stick itself will be considered a slash. Also, any one‐handed check will be considered a slash.10. WEATHERLINE: 303‐794‐3338 Set one hour prior to game time or updated as needed.Parent Code of Conduct:Unsportsmanlike Conduct‐ *NFHS Rulebook Rule 5; Section 9‐ No player, substitute, non‐playingmember of a squad, coach or anyone officially connected with a competing team shall:1. Enter into an argument with an official as to any decision that has been made or in any wayattempt to influence the decision of an official.2. Use threatening, profane or obscene language or gestures at any time during the game.3. Bait, taunt, call undue attention to oneself, or any other act considered unsportsmanlike by theofficials.PENALTY: The 3 items listed above are one to three minute non‐releasable penalties in all cases.
