This newspeed dome camera addresses demanding security, biometrics andbroadcast applications by combining 36X optical zoom with highresolution of 540 TV lines. In addition, the camera integrates WDR,a unique backlight compensation function that improves effectivedynamic range.In addition to delivering exceptional image quality, the XTS-SD36XDNincludes enhanced privacy masking features. It is based on a ¼-typeprogressive scan EXview HAD CCD, delivering a resolution of up to440,000 pixels.More than 20 protocols have been programmed in the internal firmwareto provide the widest compatibility with different CCTV vendors, andcan be easily installed in new or existing video systems. Severalhousing options are available and permit the installation of the domesin a wide range of applications.Guardian II® XTS-SD36XDN’s ability to capture images in low-lightconditions down to 0.1 lux is further enhanced by a slow auto-exposureresponse, which allows the monitoring of areas where lighting ismore prone to abrupt changes; for instance, in a car park at night.Sony’s WDR technology further improves performance by exploitinga combination of progressive scanning and image processing. Thesame image is captured twice: once at normal shutter speed, andagain at a high shutter speed. A DSP integrated within the camerathen combines the two images to reproduce the high contrast of theoriginal view.XTS-SD36XDN-WPOther FunctionsXTS-SD36XDN-INDThe XTS-SD36XDN has up to 4 alarm inputs and 1 alarm outputs (7/2Optional) which allow the dome to be programmed to automaticallyfocus on apoint that is linked to any alarm being triggered. Also, thedome allows the programming of 256 Presets with titles and a totalof 12 cruising tours(4 of SEQ; 4 of scan; 4 of partol) that allow thecomplete coverage of an area and easy operator customization.The “Auto Flip” feature which can electronically invert an image sothat it is displayed correctly. This feature is vital in dome systems,to eliminate the need to provide mechanical fl ip capabilities when anobject moves directly beneath the camera.Its enhanced Privacy Zone Masking allow to cover undesired areasfrom the camera’s visual such as windows which could distract thesurveillance of the designated area. Video motion detection functioncan be designated up to 4 areas. When motion is detected within anarea, an alarm signal and output will be triggered.To ensure conformance to national and international privacyrequirements and allow the camera’s use in wide-area monitoringapplications, the XTS-SD36XDN includes an enhanced version ofSony’s established spherical privacy zone masking technology.The new module adds a mosaic-style masking option, in addition tothe existing half-tone and colored block masks.The XTS-SD36XDN-WP comes with an Environmental Domeenclosure made in die-cast aluminum which is IP66 rated that enablesthe dome to work even in extreme weather conditions. It also comeswith a Wall Mount Bracket, standard Clear or smoked Bubble andintegrated Power Supply. Indoor In-ceiling, Surface Mount andPendant enclosures are also available upon request.IP66
