Rose has overseen the company’s construction and demolition processing and RecyclingCenter in El Cajon and works with local businesses to revolutionize in-house recycling practices as with theGrand Del Mar, which was recognized as Recycler of the Year after developing an aggressive recycling programwith Waste Management. Rose is actively involved with the <strong>San</strong> <strong>Diego</strong> Regional Chamber of CommerceCEO Forum, LEAD <strong>San</strong> <strong>Diego</strong>, Junior Seau Foundation, Century Club, Habitat for Humanity and MADD.ADAM BAKERAdam Baker is founder of Black Mountain Equities, a multi-strategy private investmentcompany that invests in distressed real estate notes, purchase order financing, private placementsin small public companies and investing in a variety of private business opportunities.Baker recently added a warrant arbitrage strategy to the firm’s investment portfolioand is focused on creating a system to help identify more of these warrant opportunities.On the real estate side of his business, his primary target market is the distressed Midwestreal estate market, specifically in regards to buying pools of non-performing first trust deedsand first mortgages. In addition to Black Mountain, Baker founded and co-owns SmokingHot Inc., which develops and runs websites. He is a founder of PEERS, a nonprofit organizedfor entrepreneurs to give back to the community in five different capacities:philanthropy, entrepreneurship, environment, relationships and social endeavors. Throughhis work with PEERS, he has helped organize a clothing drive for Father Joe’s Villages,mentored at Junior Achievement’s Biztown and raised funds for Just In Time for FosterYouth.JAMES WARINGJames Waring is CEO of CleanTECH <strong>San</strong> <strong>Diego</strong>, a firm which was built on the premise that as resourcesdecrease relative to demand and population increases, societies will have to do more with less.CleanTECH’s goal is to position <strong>San</strong> <strong>Diego</strong> as a leading clean technology region for business developmentand technology adoption. CleanTECH actively participates in a number of organizedstate and federal coalitions to promote and shape policy agendas that represent the regional cleantechcommunity’s interests.
