PREFACEThis development programme provides a framework fordevelopment within Tin Shui Wai and Yuen Long Districts. Part ofits function is to complement that portion of the Territory publichousing development programme for the Districts by ensuring thatessential infrastructure and local facilities are provided in phasewith increasing population. Development Programmes are for planningpurposes only and whilst programming information reflects thebudgetary position at the time of preparation, achievement ofdevelopment targets is dependent on the actual provision ofresources each year. The programming of most recreational, culturaland amenity projects is subject to selection by the RegionalCouncil. Information contained herein is derived from the December1992 Regional Council Capital Works Programme 1992/93 - 1996/97.The Planning Department has contributed Parts 4 and 5 ofthis Development Programme based on the land formation and servicingschedule in Part 6.
