Every year theSilent Killer attacks over 4,000 people in theUK.All frontline fire engines in Merseyside arealready equipped with ToxiRAE monitors,which are worn by firefighters and can detectdangerous levels of Carbon Monoxide atlocations visited by them either responding toincidents or while carrying out Home FireSafety Checks.Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service is the onlyFire and Rescue Service in the UK to carry theGas Safe awareness campaign imagery.
